The Hunt For Happiness

Ok, I have taken a break from posting anything on my blog. It wasn't a case of not having anything to post.....quite the opposite! I have so many ideas for my blog, and I have so much to say!
But, sometimes it doesn't matter how much you want to do something, certain things can hold you back from doing what you want to achieve-that's just how life goes I suppose.

The Pirate Princess

We have been having some mild Autumn days here in London, so I decided to wear these pretty lace panel shorts with my favourite cream blouse. When I spotted these shorts in Forever 21 I just couldn't leave them!  They aren't as tight as some I have seen on the market, and I thought The style and length was perfect for both day and night!

Casual Cowgirl

Location-Hyde Park

Remember when I mentioned randomly buying a pair of cowgirl boots on eBay?....well here they are! I saw the picture and I just loved the quilted detailing....and the studs of course!
I have never owned cowgirl boots so I was a bit apprehensive on how to wear them. But they make a refreshing change from my usual knee high and ankle boots.
Because they're black, I find them so easy to style-and I am also considering getting a brown pair too. Although, speaking of brown boots, I did manage to score these Snakeskin beauties from Topshop last week when they were offering 20% student discount....

Frenzy

I have a thing for jumpsuits, they are just sooo comfortable.....however not so user friendly when you're in a rush to use the loo! lol

I have a few plain ones already, but when I saw this one in Primark on sale-I couldn't resist!

Dress Topshop (very old) | Jacket £17.50 Topshop | Jeans £5.90 Primark | Gladiators £31.50 New Look | Bag Louis Vuitton Sulali 'Le Talenteux'

Location: The serpentine, Hyde Park.

I thought this was a great monochrome outfit for summer here in London, but if my legs didn't feel so chilly in this country I probably would've skipped the jeans. But alas this is London and looks can be deceiving here. However I will definitely be wearing this outfit sans jeans while abroad somewhere nice.

Now let me talk about these Gladiators....I haven't seen anything like them! black and gold (especially gold studs) are my achilles heel-so when I stumbled on the on the New Look website I immediately purchased them without a second thought. I knew it would be something I regretted for ages if I didn't!

They are amazing! and when put up against all the other knee high gladiator sandals on the high street, they stand out on their own as they are so unique, I cannot wait to wear them on holiday :-D

As the gladiators are quite harsh with all the stud detailing, I decided to wear it with something quite girly, hence this white cotton dress from Topshop. The dress is easily 10+ years old (!) as I have had it thrown down in my closet and not worn it  for years. I was about to throw it out when at the last minute I decided to wash it and see if I could love it again....and I do!

The quality is amazing, and you wouldn't think it is as old as it is by looking at it, or even inspecting it! It is perfect, and it is definitely staying in my closet now :-)

I chose to wear my LV Suhali bag with this outfit as it complimented the footwear and the jacket really well!

Louis Vuitton rain boots

Hey Guys! Just wanted to show you what my next luxury purchase is likely to be. At the moment I am really into building up my savings, and for this reason I never really spend a large amount on any one thing anymore but.....I happened upon the Louis Vuitton website to see what's new and I stumbled upon these beauties........

I originally wanted these.........

But after seeing the new style I am in love! the gold detailing swung it for me, and I also like the less uniform LV embossing which according to the website is supposed to look like "droplets" of rain.

Dont get me wrong, I love my Hunter wellies but I really like the style of these ones. Ok, ok I know what you're probably thinking "£310 on wellies is way too much!" And you know what, I agree with you. How can I justify spending that much on wellies? Well because I want them so much I'm going to try........

1. Cost per wear. This is probably the most sound reason I can get away with buying them. lol. I mean think about it, I am not someone who tends to baby her designer stuff. I wear them to death generally, and if the quality is half decent I should be able to do that with these. I am not someone who gets rid of something because it's "out of season" for me-It's a lifelong commitment!

2. They are black and gold (come again??!)
Ok not as justifiable as reason one, but what can I say?? I tend to love black pieces with gold accents-and these would be a great addition to my wardrobe.

3. I live in London. Yes, it rains here quite a lot if you didn't know that already, and based on that fact alone-I'm surprised I haven't picked them up already! And also, at least we know I will get my monies worth throughout the whole year..... :-(

4.They look cute on me!...........

Need I say more?! :-P

Which (if any) would you pick? Comment below X

Turquoise & Tassels

         Skirt £9.75 Justfab | Blouse £9 Primark | Shoes £39.99 Zara | embellished clutch £10 Primark
 Sunglasses £6.99 H&M | Bracelets £2-£4.50 New Look & Shein

Location-Hyde Park

This skirt is so fun to wear! It is very flirty and quite daring partly due to the actual length of the skirt-minus the tassels. I might actually get one in black which would be great for autumn. I would also be tempted to wear this to salsa as I think it would move nicely on the dancefloor-providing I don't get tangled up with my dance partner (trust me it has happened many times before lol)

I really like the whole tan and light green or blue colour combo, so decided to wear this skirt with my blouse I bought from primark (also seen in The Royal Mint) The colours go so well together. And the shoes are the icing on the cake! the colours compliment the whole outfit!
As someone who doesn't wear high heels much anymore, I must say that these are soooo comfy! and they feel so secure around the ankles. The cushioning on the inside and the rubber tipped heel make these shoes one of my favourites to wear...I actually didn't mind paying full price for once!

The embellished clutch from primark added that much needed bling to glam the outfit up a bit, and the turquoise accents again, add a nice touch to the whole outfit.

I was hoping that the quality of the skirt would have been better than it actually is, but the fact I got 75% off made up for that!...It was indeed worth my £9.75 :-D

And how did I get it for that price? well, I became a member. When you sign up as a VIP member, which means you pay £35 a month and pick what you want from their collections. As a reward, your first item is 75% reduced! Plus you dont have to commit to buying every month-you can choose to skip when ever you want. I'm not sure how long I will be a member as I can't be trusted with that scheme to be honest!

The question is, now that summer is over-how will I style my skirt for the autumn months? I could see it with a turtleneck sweater and ankle boots. Not sure yet.....but one thing I am sure of....it will include tights!

In other news....I managed to "accidentally" purchase a pair of cowboy boots last week.......yeah....

Are you over the whole tassel trend? How would you style it? Leave your comments below! X

Kimono

Kimono £14.99 New Look | Jeans £13 Primark | Vest £2.99 New Look | Shoes £36 Dune | Bag £17 Forever 21

How time flies.....I can't believe it's September tomorrow! (yikes!)

I also can't believe it's been nearly 2 and a half weeks since I posted anything! To be honest its been a mixture of being genuinely busy with other things....and a little bit of laziness also lol!

During that time I have managed to take quite a few outfit shoots, so expect to see them in the coming weeks :-)

I bought this kimono maybe around 3 years ago? and have only worn it a handful of times-although I really do love it! The colours are so amazing and vibrant! and I don't have anything quite like it in my wardrobe. The colours pop so much, even on dark days here in London. I loved combining it with the bag and the snakeskin shoes-all the blues compliment each other so well!

I have definitely reignited my love for this colour.....so now I am on the hunt for more pieces to add to my closet, especially cobalt shades as I think it will work really well in the coming colder months. Although blue is essentially a cool colour-I find cobalt to be quite a warm shade.

Speaking of which-I am currently eyeing up a gorgeous Celine Trapeze in cobalt blue and canary yellow! I found it on designerexchange.com which is a luxury handbag reseller. I might have to relax my handbag ban for that one as the price makes it even more tempting ;-)

P.S. Is anyone planning to go to London Fashion Week/Weekend?? I am very tempted to go to Paris or Milan! X
